Chesapeake Ecology Center is located just minutes from downtown and the State Capital, on the grounds of Adams Academy (alternative middle school) at Adams Park, 245 Clay Street, Annapolis, MD 21401
Directions from route 50:
Take Exit 24 Rowe Blvd. toward Annapolis; turn right on Taylor Ave. (just past the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium); turn left onto Glenwood St. (0.42 miles); Glenwood St. becomes Clay St.; turn left into the parking lot and you’re there!
July 11th, Saturday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Rain Garden Workshop, at the Chesapeake Ecology Center, 245 Clay Street, Annapolis, MD 21401, will cover: rain garden installation for different types of situations; plants appropriate for rain gardens; and a tour of eight rain gardens. Registration is required and a $10 fee (payable at the workshop) to cover snacks and materials. To register, send your name, phone number, and email address to: zoralathan@earthlink.net.
July 18th, Saturday, 10 a.m. and noon – RainScaping Presentations, at K&B True Value Hardware, 912 Forest Drive (at Bay Ridge Avenue), Annapolis, MD 21403.
September 19th, Saturday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. – CEC's Annual Garden Open House and Native Plant Sale. Tours of Rain Gardens and other Native Plant Demonstration Gardens, led by Master Gardeners, will be held at the Chesapeake Ecology Center, 245 Clay Street, Annapolis, MD 21401. (In case of rain, the event will take place on: September 20th, Sunday, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
